Crafting with Care, Rooted in Nature & Tradition

I honour heritage crafts, work with nature’s rhythms, and use sustainably sourced, local wood to create intentional pieces.

We create spaces for acceptance, where people connect with traditional skills, celebrate creativity, and form sensory experiences grounded in making.

Woodlands

Everything begins with the plants. Through coppicing - an ancient woodland practice - I build a respectful relationship with the land. Hazel harvested from trees that have thrived for over 500 years. I work with locally sourced wood, each piece shaped by the trees and seasons it came from. Hazel and willow, the heartwoods of my craft and my logo. Every piece I craft supports regeneration, conscious consumption, and keeps our connection to land, heritage, and sustainability alive.

Craft process

Crafted with Care & Consciousness, each piece begins in nature - surrounded by birdsong and rustling leaves, where I find calm and connection. I work with greenwood, alive with moisture, giving it a second life shaped by hand and heritage. Using self-built lathes and running nature-based workshops, I share not just the wood’s journey, but a story of creativity, sustainability, and inclusion. Everything I do honours tradition, empowers others, and supports regenerative woodland practices.

Heritage Craft

Heritage crafts are a bridge between mind, body, and the past. I chose green woodworking to reconnect with ancestral knowledge, using my hands as a vehicle for mindfulness and sensory exploration. Working with sharp tools brings a focus and sense of accomplishment that’s deeply grounding for me. I honour traditional techniques while reinterpreting them for modern needs, believing that small-scale, intentional craftsmanship is essential for preserving both heritage and the environment. Join me in this mindful journey through workshops.

Inclusion

Inclusion is at the heart of everything I do. I believe that every learner, regardless of their pace or background, brings something unique to the table. As a neurodivergent maker with autism, ADHD, dyspraxia and dyslexia, I embrace different ways of thinking and working. Whether it's noticing patterns in nature or feeling textures more deeply, everyone’s experience is valuable. Each piece I make carries a story - not just of the wood’s journey, but of heritage, creativity, and the quiet magic of working with nature. My workshops offer a space for acceptance and understanding, where individuals can explore traditional crafts in a supportive, inclusive community - celebrating creativity and diversity every step of the way.

Empowerment

As a woman in forestry, I’m passionate about advocating for more female inclusion in this traditionally male-dominated field. Seeing a woman near 70 restore overstood hazel changed my view of what forestry can be. With the right tools, supportive environments, and awareness of different needs, women can thrive. We bring care, compassion, and a fresh perspective—fostering a more sustainable relationship with the land. My work is about empowerment, creating space for all, and shaping a better future. Every decision we make today shapes the Earth we leave for tomorrow.

Join me

By supporting my work, you’re not just buying a handcrafted item - you’re joining a movement rooted in sustainability, heritage, and the beauty of slow, intentional living. Each piece tells a story of care, creativity, and deep connection to the land. Stay involved through workshops, future offerings, and shared learning. Together, we can preserve traditional skills, nurture nature, and build a more compassionate future. What is Coppice?

Coppicing is a traditional method of woodland management where trees are carefully cut back to ground level, encouraging new shoots to grow from the same root system. This practice also supports carbon sequestration, helping to capture and store carbon in the soil, contributing to a healthier environment.

This rhythm of regrowth nurtures vibrant woodlands, rich in life and diversity. By choosing coppiced wood, you're supporting a tradition that works with nature, crafting from renewal, and honouring the quiet wisdom of the woods. It’s regenerative, low-impact, and deeply rooted in care.

What is Heritage Craft ?

Heritage crafts are traditional skills and techniques passed down through generations, often using natural materials and hand tools. They connect us to the ways people lived, worked, and created in the past. These crafts are important because they preserve unique knowledge, support local cultural identities, and promote sustainable, handmade alternatives in a world of mass production.

I bring these heritage crafts into the present by blending traditional techniques with modern uses. There are as many ways of doing these crafts as there are people practicing them. These pieces carry their own stories, and if cared for, can become heritage items in their own right - lasting for generations to come.

What is Woodland Management ?

Woodland management is the care and maintenance of woodlands to keep them healthy, diverse, and sustainable. It includes practices like thinning, coppicing, and controlling invasive species.

These actions support wildlife, improve biodiversity, and help trees grow stronger. Well-managed woodlands also store more carbon, reduce flood risk, and provide natural resources like timber and firewood.

Looking after our woodlands, we protect valuable ecosystems and ensure they thrive for future generations to enjoy and benefit from.
